- XP boosts: final class missions will drop you some XP boosts, use them. They're +25%XP on everything and you can buy them on GTN or Cartel Market. I always run with one when leveling a toon. For Flashpoints, PVP and other non-story play there are boosts which are on sale on GTN for peanuts. If you plan to spend your time doing the Op Kuat Drives on "repeat" just get a "Major Flashpoint XP Boost" of GTN as an example, same with PVP. Smoother on creds :)
- If you have creds buy into the Legacy Character Perks (press Y), you'll see there are 6 rows of items you can buy, I like to get the Class Mission ones, all 5. Each gives you +6% XP for class missions, so get the 5 you get +30%,
- Join a +10% XP guild, This was reviewed before but work it.
- Do planetary heroics, good XP & you get blue-grade crates with 2x gear items so you don't have to pay to get "at level-ish" gear"
- Do Dailies for PVP & Flashpoints, the more XP the merrier in my book. And Flashpoints have cool drops if you're lucky. Same for Weeklies (even more XP!)
- Kill mobs. Sometimes worth it sometimes less, but if you need a few XP points to push you over to the next level, deliver death to mobs. Champions are good killin'
- If you decide to hit Makeb, click on the satellite bolster as you get 250% XP increade on exploration, not too shabby, I get 47K / area
- Double-XP weekends, just do them. Goodbye sunlight.
- 12x XP for subscribers sometimes happens, this is good for class missions only. When this is on I bring toons super fast to 70.
Also - I level as a DPS then respec to the final class like leveling a Vanguard DPS to respec as a tank, makes things faster if you're in a hurry!
Also - for toons under level 70 since 4.0 there is a thing named "bolster" which means when you go into a Flashpoint (Veteran level) or an operation (say Eternity Vault and you're level 56), the game will "boost" you to a "level 70 equivalent" so you're able to survive and contribute. Plus it helps while leveling.

- As of 5.0 you get to grind more XP! Yay! (not)
- 4 tiers for gear so you need to get to CXP tier 4 to get the top tier gear (Tier 4 is really CXP 300)
- CXP is a way to get raid grade gear through crates which randomly hand this out, among other rewards
- Recommend you read this in detail. RNGesus hates us all equally but as of 5.1 new options are added for gear. 5.2x also made things better.
- Bioware tried to get something easier to get players geared and backfired completely
